Create a long and lean dancer’s body in this fluidic ballet & Pilates inspired class. Barre incorporates dance, fitness, Pilates and ballet techniques expertly sequenced together in a high energy, but low impact way, which suits all experience levels. Not only will you sculpt all target areas, you will learn to move fluidly to music creating a balance and flow that you’ll never want to end.

Think of the Barre not just as another tool, but as a support to create external resistance and initiate more muscle engagement. The Barre will aid you to achieve body balance, and give you more concentrated toning, allowing you to take your muscles deeper into each exercise, through a more complete and dynamic range of motion.
Various exercises and techniques will be used in this freestyle Barre class. Using the Ballet Barre for support as you work on your ballet and Pilates technique you may also use various “props” such as small hand weights, balls and resistance bands.
All you need is comfortable workout clothes, a drink bottle and a sweat towel. Our Barre class is taken barefoot, being barefoot forces us to use every muscle in the foot and ankle and challenges our balance. However socks with “grip” on the bottom or ballet slippers are also allowed. Please travel to and from our changing rooms with shoes to protect your precious toes!
