Welcome to the subtle workout. Gentle Yoga classes in the Align category are slower-paced but still require CONCENTRATION AND effort. SUBTLE DOESN’T MEAN EASY. They will GRADUALLY stretch and strengthen, and build outer and inner balance.
Both Beginner Yoga and Advanced practitioners enjoy these yoga classes because they are all about precision movements and long holds. These work the muscles at a deep level TO build strength AND MINDFUL FOCUS. You might use yoga props – bLOcks, belts AND bolsters – to support your body in the pose AND GIVE YOU THE SPACE TO CONCENTRATE ON YOUR POSTURE.
Purposeful movements and steady breathing slow down the mind, and each class ends with mindful relaxation. Savasana.
